Science Fiction_3114 consists of a freestanding wall, a leaning platform, four large loudspeakers and a concealed neon sign that reads “science fiction”. Cloaked in darkness, the fragmented space is activated by diverse hums, whines, creaks, growls, and whispers—sonic fields derived by compressing and stretching soundtracks from science fiction films: Jean-Luc Godard’s Alphaville (1965), François Truffaut’s Fahrenheit 451 (1966), Andrei Tarkovsky’s Solaris (1972) and Stalker (1979), and Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element (1997).
